Join Us on the Board!
Join the STEM Advisory Board and be part of a thriving community that fosters and supports young minds in STEM
We are currently searching for leaders for the 2024-25 school year, and we need individuals who are passionate and willing to make a difference. As a board member, you will be part of a monthly virtual meeting where you will receive program updates from Ms. Doran. You can also participate in fun STEM Academy events such as STEM Night Challenge and STEMposium.
We need your involvement to support Ms. Doran and the STEM Academy students, and you will help us grow bigger and better! By joining the board, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on students' lives, promote STEM education, and develop your leadership skills.
If you are interested in this exciting opportunity, please send an email to Marie Dexter at adstemadvisoryboard@gmail.com and become a part of our growing STEM community.
Thank you for considering this opportunity.

What Is the STEM Advisory Board?
The Advisory Board is an association intended to support the Athens Drive Magnet High School Center for Medical Sciences and Global Health Initiatives STEM Energy and Sustainability Academy and help bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world. Specific goals of the Advisory Board include:
1. Develop an understanding and advance the programs of the Academy within the Wake County school system and the community.
2. Provide a volunteer base to support the Academy and assist in providing and soliciting financial support for the Academy’s programs.
3. Help build and enhance relationships between the Academy and the local related industries and community.
