STEM Night Challenge: Nov 30 5-7

One of the goals for the STEM Academy this year is to build community and relationships.  So we will have our first ever STEM Night Challenge on Nov 30.  Students will have the opportunity to participate in 4 different challenges and earn awards.  We will also be supplying dinner for the students.

To make this event a success, we need your donations and time!  Please visit the sign up here if you can help!

We meet the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm.  All parents of STEM Academy students and community business members interested in STEM are welcome to join us.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, Dec 13.

What Is the STEM Advisory Board?

The Advisory Board is an association intended to support the Athens Drive Magnet High School Center for Medical Sciences and Global Health Initiatives STEM Energy and Sustainability Academy and help bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world. Specific goals of the Advisory Board include:

1. Develop an understanding and advance the programs of the Academy within the Wake County school system and the community.

2. Provide a volunteer base to support the Academy and assist in providing and soliciting financial support for the Academy’s programs.

3. Help build and enhance relationships between the Academy and the local related industries and community.
