ADHS STEM Academy Advisory Board

We Need Your Help!

Living in the Triangle means that we have unprecedented access to a variety of STEM resources. One of the goals of the STEM Advisory Board this year is to help build a database of STEM contacts. This database could include:

  • members in academia or business who might come speak to our students or provide internship opportunities for our students

  • STEM events

  • STEM resources

To create this database, we need your help. If you know someone who works in STEM and who might be interested in helping our students in the STEM Academy, please complete the form below. That person could even be YOU!

We meet the second Wednesday of every month at 6:30pm. All parents of STEM Academy students and community business members interested in STEM are welcome to join us.

Our next meeting is Wednesday, Oct 12

What Is the STEM Advisory Board?

The Advisory Board is an association intended to support the Athens Drive Magnet High School Center for Medical Sciences and Global Health Initiatives STEM Energy and Sustainability Academy and help bridge the gap between the classroom and the real world. Specific goals of the Advisory Board include:

1. Develop an understanding and advance the programs of the Academy within the Wake County school system and the community.

2. Provide a volunteer base to support the Academy and assist in providing and soliciting financial support for the Academy’s programs.

3. Help build and enhance relationships between the Academy and the local related industries and community.
